Umpire Yellow Card Sanction System

In 2013, Baseball Sask introduced a new sanction system when dealing with discipline issues.

The purpose of the new system is an attempt to make the sanctions for misconduct more evenly applied by umpires and make the system fairer to the participants in the game.

A. “An unremarkable Ejection” (this occurred during the course of play and was part of the game and generally not remarkable as to require further investigation)

B. "Subject to Review"

The conduct included:

Excessive verbal abuse of anyone following ejection;
Failure to leave the playing area following a reasonable time, following ejection;
Obstructing the play of the game, or generally causing a nuisance or a disturbance of the play of the game;
Physical contact with any umpire before, at the time, or after an ejection;
Any circumstance where there is appearance of a deliberate attempt to injure any member or spectator, and was therefore so remarkable to justify further investigation.
