RESOLUTION 01

WHEREAS:  The current Sask Baseball Playoff Manual states there shall be no 7 or 9 team draws permitted during post season play.

BE IT RESOLVED: The Playoff Manual shall not state a limit to the number of teams permitted in a provincial draw and that the Playoff Committee has the final decision to the limit of teams permitted in Provincials.

WHEREAS: Although not written in the constitution, past situations exist that where there is a governing minor (under 18) baseball body in centres, it has been dictated that minor teams must register for Active Membership through said governing bodies.  Teams registered through these governing bodies are then full Active members of Saskatchewan Baseball Association.

BE IT RESOLVED: Where there exists a governing Minor (under 18) baseball body in any centre, all minor teams must register for Active Membership through said governing body. Teams not registered through the governing body where they exist in centres be deemed as Affiliate Members and have membership limitations as laid out in the Sask Baseball Handbook. ex) In Regina (Zone 2) Baseball Regina is recognized as the governing minor body and in Saskatoon (Zone 6) Saskatoon Minor Ball is recognized as the governing minor body.

WHEREAS:  In Senior A and A2;

BE IT RESOLVED: the coaching requirements be reduced so that only the Online Module be required for one coach.


RESOLUTION 04

WHEREAS:  Regarding Umpire expenses;

BE IT RESOLVED: That mileage be paid by Sask Baseball and not the Host for the Midget AAA, Junior AAA, Senior AA Provincial Championships.

WHEREAS:  A player pitching and catching in the same day;

BE IT RESOLVED: Once a player assumes the position of pitcher, they cannot catch for the remainder of the day.


RESOLUTION 06

WHEREAS:  Regarding curveballs in Pee Wee;

BE IT RESOLVED: curveballs will be allowed in Pee Wee AAA and AA after May 31.


RESOLUTION 07

WHEREAS:  Regarding number of innings in Pee Wee AAA;

BE IT RESOLVED: Beginning in the 2011 season, increase Pee Wee game to 7 innings for AAA and AA.

WHEREAS:  Regarding Pitch Count Limitations;

BE IT RESOLVED: Increase  minimum pitch count limitations as per chart in PItch Count Section.


RESOLUTION 09

WHEREAS:  Regarding Lightning;

BE IT RESOLVED: When lightning is visible and flash and sound are within 30 seconds, the ball game will be suspended for a minimum of 30 minutes following the last visible flash and sound within 30 seconds.

WHEREAS:  Sask Baseball is required to have an Annual Audit.

BE IT RESOLVED: That Sask Baseball uses the services of Berger Belanger to conduct our Annual Audit.
