Purpose and Objective

  • To provide baseball training opportunities for players in the Bantam – Midget age category in order to improve abilities to compete at an elite level.
  • To prepare baseball athletes that aspire to play college baseball
  • Provide baseball specific strength training in order to improve velocity, speed, power, and prevent injury. (Players enrolled in Academy)
  • Provide fitness testing so players can measure their progress and see their improvement. (Players enrolled in Academy)
  • Provide game reps for players who have been named to the Prairie Team for Tournament 12, Team Canada, Team Sask Fall events in Arizona, and other travel programs.
  • Provide Midget AAA coaches an opportunity to evaluate players for the midget draft.

Tournament 12 (T12) is a national amateur baseball tournament held at Rogers Centre, September 14-17, 2017. The goal of T12 is to provide a showcase opportunity for the best 160 amateur baseball players born in Canada, with college eligibility. T12 acts to centralize the best Canadian baseball players, with the intention of exposing them to as many pro and college scouts as possible. Simply put, the Blue Jays Baseball Academy’s intention is to provide a platform that both highlights and markets the high level of amateur baseball talent in this country.

The T12 ID Camp in Saskatchewan will be held in Regina on July 20th at 1:00 @ Optimist Park.

13U Selects

The 13U Head Coach will be Nolan Bracken with Chris Untereiner and James Avery as Assistants.

Team will represent Baseball Sask at the 2017 13U Baseball Canada Championship in Repentigny, QC  from August 24-28

15U Selects

The 15U Head Coach will be Mike Lindsay with his Assistants to be named later.

Baseball Sask will be hosting the 2017 Bantam Selects ID Weekend from June 9-11 in Saskatoon at Nutana Diamonds. The format for the weekend will be for the players to be evaluated on Saturday, June 10th and then put into teams and play games on Sunday, June 11th.

We will use this to help evaluate players to be selected to the 15U Bantam Selects

Team that we will be sending to the 2017 15U Baseball Canada National Championship in Summerside, PEI from August 24-28.

21U Selects

The 21U Head Coach will be Bert Kauf with Tony Black and Robert Matity as Assistants.

The 21U Selects Team will represent Baseball Sask at the 2017 21U Baseball Canada Championship in Gatineau, QC / Ottawa, ON from August 17-21
