Rawlings Baseballs – What ball should I use?

Home |

As Baseball Sask has recently changed our “Official Baseball” to Rawlings, we have received many questions from our membership about what model baseball should be used in different Divisions.

Please see attached photo provided by Rawlings to help you out with this question.

The 2015 Bantam Selects Showcase Tournament will once again be held.

We originally announced that we would not be able to run it in 2015 due to the Western Canada Summer Games and Baseball Canada Cup being held at the same time.  This meant that our evaluators would not be around to run the Bantam Selects.

However, at our recent meeting, our Board of Governors made the decision to bring it back. The tournament will be held from August 7-9 in SASKATOON.  This also means that we need to find some evaluators as well so if you are interested please contact Mike Ramage.

At our recent Semi-Annual Meeting held on April 11th, our Playoff Committee updated the number of innings in a game for Pee Wee AA to 7.

The reason for this is to go along with the Western Canada Baseball Association.  We found it would be beneficial to teams that have a chance to advance to the Pee Wee AA Westerns to become accustomed to the 7 inning game.

The new 7 inning game will be implemented at all Zone and Provincial Championships in 2015.

We are pleased to announce that Regina will play host to the only Toronto Blue Jays Honda Super Camp in Saskatchewan in 2015.

The Camp will be held August 10-11 at Optimist Park.
